BEESANDS RESTAURANT WINS ‘BEST SEAFOOD RESTAURANT’ IN MORRISONS MAGAZINE’S GREAT GRUB AWARDS 2013
Britannia @ The Beach in Beesands has been awarded ‘Best seafood restaurant’ in a nationwide competition to find Britain’s best local eateries. Nominated for the award by readers of Morrisons magazine, the beachfront restaurant was rated 10/10 for the quality and flavour of the fish on their menu during secret taste tests. Commitment to sourcing local, sustainable fish was also commended. “This unspoilt gem offers the freshest of fish, caught the same day, cooked to perfection,” said a taste tester. “The value, for the quality and amount of fish, was superb. The chef even came out front to tell customers how their fish would be served.” Katy Griffiths, editor for Morrisons, said: “We’re delighted to recognise Britannia @ The Beach for this award. We were impressed Nick and Anita’s passion for offering customers locally-caught fish at great value.” Lisa Herriott, deputy editor of Morrisons magazine, added: “Britain really is home to some fantastic dining experiences and it’s great to see so many people supporting their local businesses.”
All credit must go to our chef, Dave, to Rhianna and the whole team for their fantastic dedication, skill and stamina in putting ‘Britannia @ The Beach’ on the foodie map.
Well done the ‘Britannia’ Team!!!
